Dean's aunt and uncle from Ohio recently paid us a visit while they were taking in a long weekend in Chicago. It was nice to see them, as it was the first time since our wedding that we'd done so! They braved the Chicago traffic and hiked out to the northern 'burbs to see us. In tote, they brought some famous Cincinnati Chili (whew, I get out of making dinner for a bunch of nights!) and Chuck the Talking Pick-up Truck for Ryan.
Here's Ryan with his new toy. He just woke up and when he came downstairs, he went directly for Chuck! Chuck has come in handy a few times as a diversion to a tantrum. At least 3 times I've said "Where's Chuck" and that simple phrase has avoided meltdown. So thank you Mark and Mary Kaye for my, I mean Ryan's new best friend!
